It’s essential to get acquainted with the dominant characteristics of both parent breeds. The Australian Shepherd is a smart, tireless worker who loves people. And you have to keep your pet occupied, or he or she is going to get bored and restless. Beagles used to be a hunting dog, so they need a lot of time to play. Any mixture of these two types is not going to be a lazy pup. And they are also likely to be a smart whip.

Both these dogs have been trained to function and have high energy levels so that the Aussie Beagle will require a few hours of exercise every day. And to be sure, leaving them in the yard all day is not going to count as’ exercise’–these dogs need to be engaged.
If you don’t have 1-2 hours daily for playing with the Aussie Beagle, then these dogs might not be the best choice for you.

Some of the health issues that can be passed to Sheagles by their parent breeds are epilepsy and hip dysplasia. The latter eventually resulting in arthritis in the dog’s hip joint.
When looking for an Australian Shepherd Beagle mix puppies, seek more information from the breeder. Ask if both puppy’s parents have been health-checked for hip dysplasia.
Other than that the breed is generally very healthy.

Before you pick up your new Australian Shepherd Beagle Mix puppy, ask the breeder what food is being served before. Stick with that diet for the first six months of a pet’s life, and then change it to a high-quality adult menu.
Since the breed is healthy and you’re going to have a lot of exercising, you shouldn’t have a problem with your dog being overweight.
Nonetheless, always feed your pup to the prescribed ration of the supplier that you will find in detail on the product. It also makes sense to consider additional fish oils supplements if the mix has a long, thick silky coat, to keep it nice and shiny.
